Speaker panel discussed the benefits of Communities of Practice

I was fortunate to be part of a speaker panel that presented information yesterday about Communities of Practice (CoPs) on the UW campus. At the 5th annual Information & Technology Leadership Conference (I&TLC), a group of us were able to talk first-hand about the benefits of getting involved in CoPs with other like-minded individuals. Our presentation, entitled “Communities of Practice: Responsive Webs for Professional Development & Networking,” focused on some of the takeaways we each experienced in working through the challenges of starting a CoP.
