UPCOMING FORUMS WILL PROVIDE UPDATES ON THE TITLE AND TOTAL COMPENSATION PROJECT

All UW–Madison employees are invited to attend informational forums about the Title and Total Compensation (TTC) Project in early July. These forums will provide new information, so employees who have attended previous forums are encouraged to attend.

Attendees will learn about progress to date, next steps, and how the project will impact them in the future. Information will be presented about the standard job descriptions and how they differ from individuals’ new job descriptions. Time will be allocated to questions and answers.

Sessions will be held at various locations around campus on Tuesday, July 9, and Thursday, July 11. One daytime session on July 9 and one late-night session on July 11 will be facilitated in multiple languages. Advance registration is not required. Supervisors are encouraged to approve requests from employees to attend a forum.

As part of the TTC Project, UW–Madison will be moving from the current, task-oriented job descriptions to new, responsibility-oriented job descriptions. This will help make the updated job descriptions much shorter and more informative for both prospective and current employees. A new online training tool, the Task vs. Responsibility Tool, is now available to help employees understand the new approach to job descriptions. A paper-based version of the training will be offered soon in Spanish, Hmong, Tibetan, Chinese, and Nepali.
